We help young students from underserved communities realize their potential
Daniel Katz is a high school senior who plans to further his education by majoring in Mathematics and Education in college. He currently tutors elementary and secondary students in the following math-related subjects: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and more!
Daniel first became interested in teaching, when he received his Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts and was able to instruct students learning martial arts. He has been able to transfer the teaching skills and techniques he learnt as an instructor and he adapted and refined them for educational purposes.
Daniel has all his background checks completed and is able to work with children of all ages.
Daniel’s goal is to add other tutors with different subject matter skills to the platform.
What are the benefits of tutoring?
Research suggest that tutoring is one of the most effective ways to support a struggling student. Your child will likely benefit from getting personalized support on their math, reading, or another academic subjects. In addition, if your child is struggling with study skills or organization, a tutor can also help refocus your child and help them catch up on their school work.
Even though most public-school teachers are required to have teaching credentials, the same is not typically true when it comes to tutors. In fact, a lot of tutoring programs employ college or high school students to support younger students. This means that parents need to do their homework to make sure their child receives tutoring that is truly helpful. Peer tutoring has been proven to have numerous benefits!
What are the benefits of peer tutoring?
Build your confidence
Unlike a traditional classroom environment where you might be one of many students in a room, peer to peer tutoring can offer a more relaxed, approachable space to find your voice, ask questions and build confidence.
Foster connections
A peer tutor is not just a tutor - they can be a friend, collaborator, mentor, role model, and more. Getting tutored by a peer who can relate to what you’re going through can offer the right motivation and accountability to reach your goals.

Yes, all sessions at are free. All of our high school tutors volunteer their time to help students continue and accelerate their learning.
All sessions are virtual. They are held over Zoom, Google Meet, or any other online communications platforms, via discretion of the tutor.
We primarily teach Math and English, but have tutors available to support students with other subjects they are learning in school. Tutors are also available to help students on homework and other class assignment.
Typically, our tutors have a preliminary meeting with the parents/guardians of the students to gauge where each student is in their learning. From there, homework can be assigned to the parent/guardian's liking. Our tutors teach lessons based on common core standards through a tutoring curriculum.
The number of sessions range from one to two times a week, and each class is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. More sessions can be requested contingent on tutor availability.
We never apply the same method to every student, but develop strategies unique to the position of every client. Tutors construct an individual assessment and evaluate progress to craft lesson plans accordingly. This allows students, no matter where they begin, to develop the techniques that confidently ensure success and excellence in their coursework, and examinations.
Every student has unique needs for support. Tell us more about what you are hoping a tutor can do for you, and we will start on a plan to help you get what you need.
